Template mostly fails to load
It's been a long time since I've needed help... but now is the time!
I am up to date with all blocks, plugins and template v.17.1 as far as I know. My www.komokaweather.com/j-template had been working for me until a few days ago, even though it was slow with all the blocks and plugins I had added.
I am now not able to run it in a normal browser (it just sits there until it stops trying and serevice unavailable message after several minutes) but have been able to a bit in a new private window. Somehow in my trying to get the page to load I lost all the blocks so now only a skeleton of blocks and still very slow to load in a private window and not at all in a regular browser.
A am also not able to bring up the Mobile site. The previous settings were also lost or removed in my Reset attempt. I've redone the Homepage setup for both desktop and mobile with only a few blocks (and saved). In the setup screen below desktop and mobile selection there are broken page icon and can't recall if this is the normal. The http://www.komokaweather.com/j-template/indexMobile.php will not come up in either a normal of private browser.
Any suggestions what, where to begin? I've called my webhost GoDaddy but they are not able to give me any helpt.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Template mostly fails to load
Your desktop page seems to load fine here!
The Mobile pages, is that the lite version or the original one, it doesn't load here at all just a blank page.
If the lite one, mine has quit also http://www.sanfordweather.com//meteo/pa ... /index.php

Re: Template mostly fails to load
It is the Mobile option in the Homepage settings that I have been trying to get working again. I am not familiar with the lite, where would that be?
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Template mostly fails to load
I see in the Bug fixes download mention of a Homepage Mobile fix for 17.0 dated Jan 2018. I have the 17.1 version installed Nov 2018 so presume that is not the issue.
Enjoy,
Paul

Its the page found /pages/lite/index.php, mine quit awhile back and can not get it going again, have not found anyone else with the problem so must be something in my setup that's borked!
It's the mobile page you get when you select Responsive in Main Setup for Mobile Home Page

I didn't even know it existed and it works in normal browser http://www.komokaweather.com/j-template ... /index.php
Still a mystery why I can't get the main or other mobile pages to load.
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Template mostly fails to load
G'day, Paul. It's probably of no consolation, but your desktop page works for my browser as well. The lite mobile also does.
I use Google's Chrome as my default browser (because most of my visitors do) but have another half dozen for testing purposes. Should you desire I can check your site on those as well.
Regards,
John

Re: Template mostly fails to load
Thanks John,
With the trimmed down main page I can get it to load in laptop with Edge, and on Acer weather computer in Chrome but not in Firefox or Opera
The /pages/lite/index.php loads in all browsers.
Haven't been able to load the main page Mobile version in any browser and gives a http 500 error on one laptop and A server unavailable in the other browsers (I am pretty sure I have it setup correctly in the Homepage Mobile settings). I can't recall when the last time I was able to use the Mobile and could be a while ago before most recent version updates. I will need to search my updated files and go back to make sure I did the updates correctly.
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Template mostly fails to load
In Chrome i see the following errors:

The top two are from Google, i think it has something to do with the fact that Google changed something in their scripts. This error is on all Meteotemplate sites (on mine also).
The other two are errors on your own site.
The jquery error comes from the forecast block. In Chrome you can see on the right hand side some text with more info, but that is unreadable. In Safari that text is not even visible.

The last error has to do with a missing jcgmt-clock label .png in a block.

Re: Template mostly fails to load
HI Paul,
something strange has probably happened. For example with regards to indexMobile, it shows this:
Warning: include(mobile/header.php) failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/psoykkrhjuz3/public_html/j-template/indexMobile.php on line 91
as if some files were gone, in this case the mobile header, which is essential for the page to work. Desktop version loads for me.

Re: Template mostly fails to load
Thanks Jachym, nice to talk...
Do you have any suggestion on the best way to try to get all the components back in for the mobile? I have verified the v17.0 to v17.1 update files are all uploaded. I had seldom used the Mobil version so it may not have been working for a while and possibly from before the v17.1 update. Maybe starting at v16.0, but that could be quite a chore.
Enjoy,
Paul

Hi Paul,
in your FTP check if this file exists or not. It could also be that it exists and problem is with permissions.

Re: Template mostly fails to load
Thanks again Jachym, and a little slow to respond. However your post made me look in more detail and found I didn't have the mobile folder so that would be a good reason for it to fail. Now the www.komokaweather.com/j-template/indexMobile.php works for me in all browsers. Thinking back it must have happened at the time GoDaddy lost my whole hosting files last October, and their daily backups that I paid for weren't working so they restored from an earlier backup. I then had to go and do quite a bit of cleanup and the mobile was one I must have missed.
My main page still only loads for me in Firefox private browser, not in any other browser as it gives a 503 error or just sits there waiting, so I am slowly progressing in checking all the current and prior-to-restore files for comparison.
Again thanks,
Paul
