Updated to current ver 18, then blocks stopped working

I finally updated to v18.0 Papaya, and it couldn't have gone smoother. I'm usually weary of applying updates because on many apps/programs, the update often breaks what was working. Kuddo's to Jachym. I was still on ver 15.0, so I did the updates sequentially, including the minor updates. The update/install time couldn't have been more than 5 seconds for each install. Duly impressed! Quite literally, run the command line and it's done with no errors. I also updated all of the blocks and plugins to the latest version.

However,

Since the update last Saturday, the Current Conditions, (block current), and Current Conditions US (block currentUS), have stopped working.

One other oddity, click the Home icon and instead of reloading the main page it loads the mobile 'lite' page. Not sure what is happening there.

Anyone with ideas or comments, please reply as I'm just spinning my wheels.

You may check the block settings and try clearing the cache of the block ( current ).

For the homepage check the value of the config.php values ( which controls the switching of desktop/mobile page ):
$maxWidthMobile ( 1200 in my case )
$minWidthDesktop ( 900 )

You may force displaying the desktop version setting following variables to false:
$redirectMobiles
$redirectTablets

I cleared the cache of block current and currentUS. - no change

I made these changes:
$maxWidthMobile ( 1200 )
$minWidthDesktop ( 900 )

I set these variables to false
$redirectMobiles
$redirectTablets

The Home button on left side of menu bar now refreshes the page as it should.

current block is still dead. Cache for current stays empty. It doesn't seem to see meteotemplate.txt in the root.

same for currentUS

I cleared the cache on Meteotemplate, my browser, and my host server.

I'm stumped.

I have updated the currentUS block ( attached ), only updated the URL of the source xml feed.

The current block is a different matter, is an extremely complicated block ( for my taste ), we are currently on rev. 24.1
Need to investigate a little more ( if Luna Rossa permits )

Thank you David. I installed and set up the block. Nothing yet but it sometimes takes a while.

Luna Rossa - do you sail/compete or a fan?

I'm curious what part of Italy you live in? A cousin of mine lives in Venice, he just turned 92 this past Tuesday. Haven't been able to get hold of him.
