ssgauge does not work when first loging main page
Hello all!!! First timer on this website and hope I am posting to the correct area. I finally got Meteotemplate v17 working as it should with a lot of errors in the beginning and Jachym was tremendously a big reason my page is successful. I just want to remind everyone to check your computer for virus's anytime you start a project like this. The virus was by no means from Meteotemple but one I had downloaded and a big guess is FileZilla as I did not check the url before downloading. That said it was a nightmare until I discovered I had a trojan virus and removed it. After that everything fell into place.
I am using ssGauge as my header in the main page but it does not show the gauges working right away. I discovered that is you go to another page like WEATHER STATION then to Current Date and back to Home from the gauges start working correctly.
Anyone here experience anything like that. I am Sorry if this has been answered a thousand times already and a link pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.
If you care to see for yourself the site is at www.nicomaparkweather.com
If the link did not work as this is a learning curve on here the site is https://www.nicomaparkwether.com
Copy and paste to your browser window.

Hi Andy, your gauges worked first time for me and they appear to update every 30 seconds - so looking good from here.

For some fine and others not but a quick click on the home Icon solves the update issue. Clearing the local cache brings it back to not working until a click on any icon really fixes it again. Have searched for an answer and one suggestion was my certificate was bad, corrupted, expired (Add your word) which lead me back here. Not that a major issue yet as I am still in testing... (There's that word we never get tired of hearing) Had my host issue a new certificate and even rerouted none http requests to the https template/index.php nothing. Not sure why it works for some and not others. I posted a fix on the start page if it doesn't refresh which works for now but also working on other bugs I have

Re: ssgauge does not work when first loging main page
I think you have the same server error that several of us have suffered from.
please see
http://www.meteotemplate.com/web/wiki/wiki3GB.php
You will find the following information:
When you are done, you can then create a new file called "index.html". This file you will put in your server root and will only function as a redirection script, in other words, it will redirect the user directly from your domain (www.mysite.com) to www.mysite.com/meteotemplate/index.php. This will solve the icons problem.
There is a file that goes in the root directory of your server that fix this.
The link to the file is: http://www.meteotemplate.com/web/wiki/index.txt
Then you have to follow the directions below:
If you are using the above method, then download this file, change the extension from .txt to .html and save it as index.html in your server root. It will redirect users to the meteotemplate directory. If you are unsure or feel lost, simply email me and I will help you with it.
This will also allow users to enter https://nicomaparkwether.com/ for your site address (without www) and it will work.

Re: ssgauge does not work when first loging main page
Thank you Sir for your help and advice. I had already tied all those methods with varying results. Seems IOS and a mostly mac devices have no issue and mainly I.E. devices. Even android work just fine. Trying to find why I'E. is the problem child and still waiting on Microsoft to respond to my question. My host did a lot of trouble shooting and went as far as issue another ssl certificate, cleared my site cache on there end and so on and there stumped. I think it's a Windows 10 developer issue which I am using to do my edits.

You may have corrected something because your page is functioning perfectly in IE11 and Edge. Even without using WWW in the URL.
When I posted the message above it was not working properly.
Just letting you know.

Re: ssgauge does not work when first loging main page
Thank you I appreciate it. I am stumped on this also on this problem. It never works on my computer and other have told me it either does or doesn't I did create an index.html in the root redirecting to https://www.... and same results. Either it works or doesn't My "current block also stopped updating time. If I exit the site, wait 30-60 min and enter the site it works but that first time with the right time but never updates it. I have it set on 16 sec updates.

Re: ssgauge does not work when first loging main page
That index.html in the wiki needs to be adjusted.
Open it in a code editor and then you will see at the top redirection to "template" folder. You need to change that to whatever the directory of your Meteotemplate is.
Eg:
"meteotemplate"
or if in a further subfolder for example
"weather/meteotemplate"
