Wind Gust - MB vs MT

Post by Dehatter » Fri Jun 14, 2019 7:21 pm

I am not sure what I have done differently because I do not recall this issue before, and I do not know what has changed, but Wind Gust on MT seems NOT to be registering the max value from Meteobridge any longer.

I am wondering if it is because Meteobridge has changed its data formatting and max gust is in a different field than it used to be. I believe that MT is reporting an average and not the max, because it is generally several mph lower than reported in the MB live data table and at a different time.

Hi,
it is strange, however Meteobridge supports Meteotemplate directly, so even if some field changes I would assume Boris implements any necessary changes to his script that sends data to MT and it is still sending "max gust", but this is a question for Boris rather than me.

hey dehatter

i will respond here and not the other thread you replied to that i started with this problem.

the same issue i had was resolved by Boris. I was using weather link bypass through mb and it was missing a few max gusts during the course of a day. he sent out an update and it fixed my problem. been running great since then. you should go to the mb forums and post your issue. give it some time for him to respond, patience is key. hope you get it figured out.

I read about this on Meteobridges site and they addressed this issue in a new update. Just reboot your MB and it should fix it.

Andy

Oops, I should have read all the posts first. mchd17 already said the same.

I do try and keep my MB updated. I had the June 11 update when I wrote the post. I have just updated again to get today's version (4.0-2160). We will see....

Today is showing correctly.

Weird, the June 11th MB update fixed it for me. Boris said it was his fault in the versions before the 11th he messed it up. I think the June 3rd or just after is when I noticed.

It's mentioned in WXFORUM also. Not an MT error.

I am forwarding this same info to Boris but just wanted to provide an example.

As one can see, the data stored in the data base is NOT the max data sent by the Meteobridge device.

Yes I'm seeing my MB is not matching my MT for the same 5 minute period. It's only off by a few mph but still. I have noticed the last few MB releases had a few bugs that where for the most part fixed pretty quickly.
