I may be totally in the rough here but can anyone explain how I can look up the min and max temp's for a given date from within Meteotemplate. I live in a small town and occasionally the local newspaper will ask. I just have data in MT database back to 2004, but that still should provide some good information.
I can look up the max and min for a particular month or for a month by day, but I would like to find the min temp and date without looking thru each year one by one.
Thanks
Terry

Re: Meteotemplate tools usage
G'day, Terry,
If I'm reading your question correctly, then by going to 'Weather Station' in the menu and then selecting 'Reports' you have the option of selecting a date and month and year in the left hand 'frame'. Once done you should be presented with data, including maxima and minima, for that day.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
John

Re: Meteotemplate tools usage
Thanks for the reply, John
I should have explained what I would like to do in more detail. Let's say I want to find the coldest temp my station has recorded for 11 Oct. If i go to Weather Station, Reports, Daily Report, and choose 11 Oct, I must choose the year. I must then go thru all 17 years of my data to find and compare the min temps. Not an impossible task, but time consuming.
If I choose Monthly report, I can eventually get to the data I want but only after looking at all 17 years. The same if I choose Yearly report. It would be very nice if the user could click on the value (in this case the min temp in Oct) and have it display the date that it occured.
I am certainly no database guru, but I think that this feature could be added.
Does this make more sense?
I just searched for the min temp recorded at my station in my database and it took me 8 min and 12 sec.
The correct answer is:
Minimum temperature at this station, 11 Oct is 13.1° F in 2019
The average/mean temperature at this station 11 Oct is 32.4° F between 2004-2019
MT seem really well thought out. It's odd that this function would be left out. I'm hoping that I'm just too dense to see it.
thanks
Terry

Re: Meteotemplate tools usage
Take a look at the Station Block, it show min/max and down at the bottom there is a drop down with time span choices, "All Time" is one

Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for. I just knew that there was a tool in MT to analyze what I wanted.
Thank you
Terry
There are many blocks that I haven't had a chance to explore, I really glad to know other users have.
