Tides
This probably specific to Sydney - Kirribilli.
The last couple of days the block has not been reporting correctly. I suspect that it's because of a change on the source URL
https://www.tide-forecast.com/locations ... des/latest
The image below shows the block and the second a portion of the reference URL.
I am aware that you are extremely busy, Jáchym. I am not desperate; it can wait a few weeks.
For those in a different time zone, the block image is for 2018-01-01.

Re: Tides
Hi John,
the only difference I can tell on their site is that they moved to https. However that should not have an effect now. It could also be some problem with the transition to a new year. I will wait 2-3 days and remind me again if it does not fix itself.

Re: Tides
Hi,
either it is just a temporary issue (like last yr) or they made some changes. This plugin/block uses HTML scraping, always the worst and most unreliable method because a single change in the HTML and it falls apart. Unfortunately they dont have an api that would provide this in machine readable format

Re: Tides
Tides, again. This, I might add, could have been the case for ever and a day but I only noticed it a few days ago.
The problem, if there really is one, is that the tide times and heights for my selected location 'Today' is normally within a few minutes and heights of forecast published by the local Bureau of Meteorology. However the times shown for 'Tomorrow' are just plain wrong. When 'Tomorrow' becomes 'Today' they will, suddenly, be acceptably close.
Looking at the source site shows the more-or-less accurate readings for 'Tomorrow' as forecast by the local bureau.
To me, this seems to indicate that either the 'scraping' of data from the source site is wrong or that the subsequent 'massaging' of those data is faulty.
Has anyone else noticed this anomaly? If so, did you manage to fix it?
Regards to all,
John

Re: Tides
Further to my post of a couple of days ago:
I was looking at my site today and for some strange reason thought that the forecast for 'tomorrow' was similar to that before. Fortunately I had made a note of the previous details - they are identical.
So now I have no idea. I shall do my best tomorrow (it's mid-evening here) to trawl through Jáchym's coding to see if I can sort out the problem.
Cheers,
John

Re: Tides
This is not working for myself in Nikiski Alaska.
Is there a possible update for this coming up ?
If not is there a way to use the Weather Display tideprediction.html file for this ?
a Sample can be found here.

This time of year this is the main information used on my site.
The Meteotemplate in use is at
