Unable to register template

I have just installed a clean version of Cranberry on an Apache server running on a Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB).

When I get to the step of registering the template, after entering my information and clicking on the "Register template" button, the process does not proceed and the window with the message "Thanks for registering the template ...." does not appear.

The template is hosted on a server that is only accessible from my local area network (LAN).

On previous installations (Nectarine and Papaya) on Raspberry Pi 4 I have not had this problem.
Cranberry is the only template hosted on the server.

What am I doing wrong?

I have reinstalled everything on my RPi 5: Debian12 OS, LAMP (Apache, MariaDB, PHP 8.2, phpmyadmin) and Cranberry.
I install the template, configure it without problems and save it.
When I run the first boot with http://servermet/template/index.php, again I get the message: "Template unregistered...". I enter my data (name and e.mail) and the registration process does not run.
In the previous installation, I did a "cheat", creating a "templateRegistered.txt" file, but it worked correctly.
This time, by clicking on the icon of the three gears, I can access the configuration of blocks, plugins, page layout, but the operation is erratic. For example, when I try to configure the first three blocks (airQualityWorld, baroTrend, calculator), the airQualityWorld always opens.
I have checked on the server and the uploaded blocks are correct and do not appear to be corrupted.
What am I doing wrong or is it an incompatibility issue?
The Papaya version, installed on my RPi 4 works correctly. There are minor version differences. For example, PHP 7 is used.
Can someone help me. I am willing to repeat the whole process. I am 82 years old and have great freedom to decide how I spend my time.

I have the same problem with the registration of the template.
I tried to use Chrome and then Edge but still I have problems.
I used two different hosting but still I have problems.

I have again installed a LAMP server (Apache, MariaDB, PHP and phpmyadmin) on my Raspberry Pi 5. This time, the PHP version installed is 7.4.28 and the Papaya version of the template.

With this configuration, I have not had any difficulty to correctly register the template.

My hypothesis is that the Cranberry version has some kind of incompatibility with newer versions of PHP. For example, my registration problems appeared with Cranberry and PHP 8.2.11.

Before I try to redo a new clean install of Cranberry I would like to know the opinion of the experts of this forum about the most suitable PHP version.

- which version of php are you using?
- when you click the register button does the popup show up?
- apart from the registration, is the site behaving properly?

My installation is quite special. My template is hosted on a Raspberry Pi 5, only accessible from my local area network. If I give you my url, you will not be able to see my template.

On my Papaya template, hosted on a RPi 4, I have never had any problems with registration.

In a previous installation, I did a little cheat and copied a file "templateReistered.txt" to the "admin" folder. The warning message disappeared, but the template was working erratically.

In my inexperienced opinion, it is some incompatibilities with the PHP version.

I am going to perform a new installation of Cranberry on my Raspberry Pi 5. What version of PHP do you advise me to use.

Regarding php version, a version prior to 8.0 is, for the moment, the safer choice
Regarding point 3) it is a small bug of meteotemplate 19.0 ( which shows non existent edit settings ) this little mod should solve it: viewtopic.php?p=12779&hilit=small+bug#p12779

I will install Cranberry with PHP 7.4.28 and use the mod.
