Live Gauges API
Hi everybody
How is it possible to display the Live Gauges API in the homepage instead of a menu.
Since «gauges» is displayd in the list of blocks/plugins, I assume, that it should be possible to add it as a block?
Many thanks for any support.
Michael

I cannot view your website, looks like a security problem, Chrome blocks it

I cannot check this because when I try to go to your website, Chrome gives me a security warning and does not let me view it.

Re: Live Gauges API
can you use another browser instead?
That was the reason, ehy I first tried it to host it with SSL and you responded, that this is not implemented in your Template

Re: Live Gauges API
Hi,
not sure what you mean, https/http has nothing to do with the actual scripts, it is not something I need to change in the template. You can use any PHP script on any https server.
HTTP/HTTPS is purely a server/domain settings, regardless of what you then use on that server. The only thing that can sometimes happen is that some data might not be loaded if it is http (especially images), but it happens very rarely.
I think you should first fix this because if your web is inaccessible from the most widely used browser it is a serious issue

Re: Live Gauges API
I asked the Provider to install Lets Encrypt for this domain: http://meteo.ksstadelhofen.ch/template/indexDesktop.php
I need your support, because I do not understand the Plugin description for the gauges.
When I write current;gauges in the header Block, or further down in the Column1 and save it, I can't see any gauges

Re: Live Gauges API
Hi, the link in your profile shows this:
https://meteokst.lima-city.de/template/ ... veData.php
If you go to that link you are warned of a site problem and advised not to go further.
If you go to the link you have just posted:
http://meteo.ksstadelhofen.ch/template/indexDesktop.php
It works, so which is the correct link for your MT site? Or is it both?

I changed it in my profile
But my question remains the same, how can I implement gauges in the homepage?

Have you tried redownloading the block and reuploading it to the server?

He's talking about the livegaugesAPI plugin. These gauges are a plugin, and not a block.

Re: Live Gauges API
That can not be done. That is a plugin and not a block to be added to the home page.

Re: Live Gauges API
I'm pretty sure Jay is 100% correct here, this is a plugin only having it's own page - I've always thought they look pretty cool. Maybe they can't be used as a block due to their size, you might have to wait for Jachym to give you a definitive answer on this.

Re: Live Gauges API
Steelseries gauges have a plugin and a block, no plugin can be displayed on the homepage unless it is also a block.
The only problem with https you might have is that your server might not like communication with mine, which is http, so you wont see latest versions etc., but your page will work fine.
